The name Aspen was derived from a code of ethics called
“The Aspen Declaration”.
Starting at - In 1992, an eminent and diverse group of educators, youth leaders, and
ethicists issued the Aspen Declaration, a document which asserted the
primacy of six (6) core ethical values that transcend cultural,
religious, and socioeconomic differences:
(1)
trustworthiness,
(2)
respect,
(3) responsibility,
(4) fairness and justice,
(5) caring , and
(6)
civic virtue and citizenship.
The founders of Aspen find that these core values are universal. We
only ask, “What
do these terms
mean to you?” |
